  This is sweet little peasant style dress or top, with options for honeycomb smocking. There are detailed instructions for honeycomb smocking included! Add lace and have a sweet heirloom frock, or you could always have a precious holiday night gown. With no buttonholes or plackets to fuss with it’s a quick project! Who can resist a smocked dress that comes together during the child’s nap time?

This pattern was named after my wee niece Violet.

Fabric requirements are based on 45” wide fabric.

Materials: Thread, 1/8” elastic, water soluble marking pen, or pencil, and embroidery floss.

Suggested Fabrics: batiste, voile, dotted swiss, organdy, silk, any fine (thin) fabric
